Project Staff

Jakub Ivanecky

Jakub Ivanecky was the PATH Project Worker based at Four Pillars. 24-years old and born Eastern Slovakia, now living in Aberdeen since 2018. He received his Undergraduate in History at the University of Aberdeen and is currently working towards his Masters in Medieval and Early Modern History.

I joined the PATH project during its early stage and I wanted  to focus my efforts on bridging the gap between academic and public knowledge. Producing most of the resources aimed towards school pupils, I intend to carry that work forward in my professional career as a history teacher/lecturer

Louise Henrard

Louise Henrard was the project co-ordinator for the PATH Project based at GREC. They took a break from their anthropology degree in 2022 to work on the project. They were working as a student’s representative at the Aberdeen University Students’ Association between 2019 and 2021.

It’s been a pleasure working with community members to highlight and celebrate their stories. I hope PATH is only the start to better inclusion of minorities history into Aberdeen’s history
